The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) hosted its renowned training course: “Leadership in Action”. This program, designed with postdoctoral researchers in mind, was a unique opportunity for participants to develop essential skills for successful self-management and career progression.
I attended the course on July 2023. It ran over three sessions. Each session, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, was packed with interactive and practical workshops. We learn to set clear objectives, manage time and resources efficiently, communicate effectively, and decide the type of leader we aspire to be.
The course is open to postdoctoral researchers currently working at BIST research centres, as well as the external postdoctoral community.
